Dave Tomasi is Regional President of Bayer’s Consumer Health North America business.  He leads the $2.7 billion portfolio, which contains six product categories (Pain & Cardio, Allergy, Cold & Flu, Nutritionals, Digestive Health, and Skin/Dermatology).  Dave is also a member of Bayer’s global Consumer Health Executive Committee and the U.S. Country Leadership Team.

Dave is responsible for delivering and accelerating Bayer Consumer Health North America’s business results, leading the portfolio strategies, developing and launching future initiatives, and improving operational effectiveness. As a key global leader, he plays a major role on the Consumer Health Executive Committee connecting our business globally, with external stakeholders, and transforming our organization and culture. 

Dave joined Bayer in 2019 as Senior Vice President for Allergy, Nutritionals/Vitamins, Analgesics, Cardio, Sun Care and Foot Care. In 2020, he was appointed to the role of Chief Commercial Officer, leading strategy, and operations for the Consumer Health North America business. Dave played a key role in the turnaround of the business over the past four years, driving operational excellence, financial performance, innovation, and strengthening the North America retail business. 

Dave has spent more than 25 years in consumer products across Bayer and Procter & Gamble with positions in general management, consumer marketing, and retail marketing, across some of the industry’s biggest brands and largest retailers, including 12 years in global OTC medicines.  In addition, he serves on the board of BAYPAC, Bayer’s Employee Political Action Committee, the Bayer Fund, the philanthropic arm of Bayer in the United States, and he is the Executive Sponsor of BRAVE, Bayer’s business resource group for military and veteran employees and their allies.   He also serves on the Executive Board for the Consumer Health Products Association (CHPA).

Dave is a Veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, having served six years in the military as an Artillery officer in the U.S. Army, stationed in Alaska and Oklahoma.  Dave holds a Civil Engineering degree as a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University.  Having grown up in Carlstadt, NJ, Dave and his wife Mary reside in Florham Park, NJ near Bayer's U.S. Headquarters in Whippany, NJ. They have three children – Brianna, Kevin and Steven – who reside in Cincinnati, Columbus and Chicago, respectively.
